How can an Ontario driver get a Quebec license to enjoy 8k PHEV rebate

Any sneaky way to do this?

The 8000 dollar is really tempting

I think you could probably rent a place there or find a buddy to let you use their address, then change your drivers license to there.

I am an immigrant only have friends in Oakville, Richmond Hill and Brampton, totally have no connection with Quebec. I have even never been to Quebec in the last 15 years. See if everyone else have any shortcut on this.

I'm sure a Quebec RFDer would allow you to use their address for a modest fee.

Just move to Quebec, buy the car, then move back to Ontario. Grinning Face With Smiling Eyes

Well what makes you a resident? I assume if you declare you live there and change your license, health card, etc that makes you a resident.

Lol, what do you consider to be the fair market price for this?

Maybe $200-$500 depending on how much they do for you, like forwarding mail back to your real residence.

Now, I wouldn't be surprised if the rebate required you to have filed your taxes in Quebec for at least one year, or have lived there for at least 6 months. Read the full requirements of the rebate before doing anything.
