How do i disable the parking brake on a mercedes?

Everytime I put the car in park, the electronic parking brake comes on automatically. So when i put it in drive, i have to pull the electronic parking lever to disengage the brakes. There must be away to turn it off! I cant find it in the system menu.

Thanks

It probably will auto disengage after you put it in drive and press the gas pedal.

Mercedes is too complicated for OP. Needs to go back to Mazda.

LOL, I am betting it says what to do on your dash. In my Cherokee it specifically says put into drive and drive to disable the electronic parking brake. It won't work unless I have my seatbelt on (which it also tells me to do if it's not on).

In your cars media centre / whatever you want to call it there is probably a setting to automatically set it or not put it on when you put it in park. Jeep I have also has that feature among a bunch of others.

hmm, you must have the cheaper mb model :)

Higher end models don't have this kind of issue.

Yea it auto disengages when you apply the throttle. The cla45 also has the start stop function to save fuel
