How do I get purchase protection on Costco item bought with Costco mastercard but no receipt?

Costco offers price adjustment if your purchase was made within 30 days prior to the change in price. So in your case the price adjustment period has ended, and the only way to get $6 back is to return the item and buy it at the cheaper price. I never had a problem returning an item without the receipt since they keep the record of my purchases on their system (occasional sigh and a lecture about bringing the receipt depending on the person who is helping you) but you know the exact date of your previous purchase so maybe it will make their job easier..
Just make sure you check the price so the person isn't returning your recent purchase which is already $6 cheaper. FYI, even though Costco will do return without the receipt, in my experience, they will never do price adjustment without the receipt.

OP is asking about price protection through their mastercard, not through Costco. You'll need your receipt, which Costco can dig up for you, but it's not going to be worth your time to contact the mastercard claims center for a big $6. The phone number is 1.800.627.8372.
