Two tables, near each other.

This is exactly how everyone else had to function during other lockdowns & reopenings when staying within one’s family bubble was required.

We’d often meet up with friends … and sit mid afternoon (least busiest time … between Brunch / Lunch & Dinner ) and sit in whatever configuration was LEGAL and worked. Often that meant 3 or 4 tables, the required 6 feet apart … but close enough together we could talk back & forth to some extent.

Sitting in our own family bubbles meant often being creative … a Table of 2, a Table of 3, and a Table 4. Be it out with friends or family
(Example … Grandparents - Daughter, her Husband & Child - Son, his Wife, and 2 Kids)

Ya want to get together in a public space you got to follow the current guidelines that businesses must operate under

Ontario is currently @ Step 2 = https://www.ontario.ca/page/reopening-ontario
That means up to 6 people per table.
No bubble required if folks are vaccinated / unvaccinated and comfortable with their table mates.
(So 1 table of 6 + 1 table of 3 for your scenario)

You want to gather at home … then things can be more lenient
At home in your backyard for example … you can have up to 25 people over
Vaccinated or unvaccinated … social distancing & masking at each persons own comfort level

the 6 person limit is for restaurants and bars, not your home

i think if you have 25 people outdoors at your home you're OK

the ontario rules make zero distinction between vaccinated and unvaccinated people

Which is pretty dumb of them to overlook considering something like 98% of new Covid cases are in people not fully vaccinated.

its not fair to those people who haven't had a chance to be vaccinated due to supply.

im under 35, so i've only been eligible for a week (and am getting my 2nd dose today)

the rules will change soon. you've waited 15 months, you can wait another 3 weeks.

Yes … it had to be spelled out.

Cuz people wanted to know what was considered safe & not safe dependent on their own status vs others

Graphic c/o Govt of Canada Public Health

Advice is different for various settings and dependent on whether one is fully vaccinated or not

Or socializing with people they know / don’t know status of

And is grouped by colour coding
Green - Amber - Red … from Go to Caution, Take Precautions

Tell them you all live in the same house. ..... I hate myself for saying that. What I should say is follow the rules, get both your vaccines, wait the required 2 weeks to be fully immune and by then we will be in stage 3.
