yeah I doubt that they reinvented the wheel in Canada
maybe the protocol could be different but I do not see why they would bother ...maybe to make sire there is no tampering and packet forging :-))
That being said if there is no signature on the packets I could sent them lower readings :-)) and lower my bill

Cuz even if this did work … it would eventually catch up with you when the house is sold / changes hands
Cuz at that point there will be an ACTUAL READ done

Yeah it is. There is no way to stop the oroginal signal. You can add to it but that will raise a flag at their end
