How does winback work after switching

Hi everyone,
My contract with fido will end soon (next month). I'm planning to switch to rogers and add 2 more lines on top. But i heard most likely fido will give me a call after I switch to offer a winback plan. The part i'm not sure about is how can you switch back to fido with the winback plan if I'm already signed up with rogers? Won't I be charged for cancellation?

Rogers and Fido are the same company and network. winback is for if you switch to a different carrier company (e.g. Bell, Telus, or Freedom if you're Rogers)

But anyways, there are no cancellation fees other than phone financing tabs if you did. Also you'll get a prorated refund.

Yea like he said you can’t get winback if you switch to one of rogers brands (chatr,Fido) I can’t quite understand what you wrote but I got a few things to help you understand, even porting out you might not get a winback call, second cancellation fees are only if your in a contract and while being in a postpaid plan you only get billed for the days you’ve used. If you decide to cancel a Byod or byop so just plan or contract you have a 15/30 day guarantee to cancel if you don’t like no you don’t have to pay any cancellation fees. Als I said before it’s a hard possibility to get a winback call so the best option is to look at rogers/Fido retentions post about the steps are to greater your chances of getting a call

You don't switch right away. You would tell your current provider to cancel as of, say, a month from now. Then, you might get a winback call to persuade you to cancel your cancellation.

As others have said, a winback call isn't a sure thing, and not within the same provider.
