Alternatively … book an appointment
I recently booked an appointment for a family member with no travel plans in 25+ days.

Appointments were April 19 or 20 with yonge and college and 4000 Gerard east (Gerard sq mall free parking).

No need to create an account and even email is optional. You can also cancel. Appointments not for urgent passports but I’d get an appointment then maybe try your luck at an office and turn around if there’s a huge line (I assume there will be)

The usual suspect spots like yonge and sheppard, STC and markham had no appointments so I assume they’re busy

It depends on the Passport Office location. I would guess it's still busy.

In December 2022, I booked an appointment for my kid for his 1st Adult Passport. we were in/out within 30 minutes.
This was at a Service Canada Office. They also accept Passport Applications.

Thanks guys. The thing is I have a trip on March 9th. Now the earliest appointment time I could book is March 19th. So walk in is my only choice.

Prior to Covid, I used to go into the passport office 5 mins before closing. As long as you got your ticket/number before 5, you were served that day. Since government staff hates working past their shift, things moved very quickly at that time of day. I guess I can forget this for now Face With Tears Of Joy

Minimal lineup this morning. I think most people assume the offices are closed for Family Day, but they aren't.

Yes … Family Day is a Provincial Holiday (varies by Province) … not a Federal one
