How long does it take for credit report to update?

I paid off my credit card balance at the end of October but the TransUnion credit report available on BMO as of November 22 does not reflect it.

I recently applied for a credit card and got denied. I wouldn't be surprised if it is because the credit report still shows that I carry a large balance.

Anyone know how long before TransUnion updates my credit report?

Are you sure BMO and another FI pull score from same bureau?

Usually reportings happen within a couple days after your statement date.
However, I’ve noticed since COVID, and when banks brought in the deferred payment option for those whose employment was affected, many lenders aren’t reporting on the same schedule they used to, and some may even skip a month here and there, which is likely the issue in your case.
