How many days did you wait after 1st dose until you got your 2nd dose?

  • Pfizer: Must be 21 days or more from first dose
  • Moderna: Must be 28 days or more from first dose

If you got Pfizer, did you book an appointment on the 22nd day after your first dose or you waited a bit longer?
If you got Moderna, did you book an appointment on the 29th day after your first dose or you waited a bit longer?

AstraZeneca followed by Pfizer. 62 days (8 weeks, 6 days). Recommended interval between AZ doses was 8 weeks+.

Cool. I am ready to book my second appointment soon.

Next couple weeks will probably be busy since 25,000 people got vaccinated last month around June 27th (not sure if these 25k people got their 2nd dose on that day or 1st dose).

Exactly 7 weeks between my 1st dose and 2nd dose. Better than the original 16 weeks schedule. Suppose to get my 2nd dose in Sept.

Pfizer - first dose Mar. 27, second dose appointment made at time of first dose when the government was still recommending 16 weeks - so 16 weeks it was, well truthfully, 16 weeks plus a day - July 18. I was able to get it down to 11.5 weeks - Pfizer. Shot given June 22.

First dose … Pfizer in Mid April
Second dose … Moderna Early July

Our original appointments were Early August (16 weeks)
We were successful in using the Ontario Vaccine Booking Website to move our appointment up several times after the Govt announced anyone could

In the end … our second shot was 10 weeks after our first

Very happy with the results.
Means we have most of the summer to enjoy being with friends & family, travel, vacation etc

Exactly 8 weeks for me. I booked my 1st as soon as I could, and my 2nd as soon as they let me.

The shortest I could possibly have done would have been 55 days, based on Ontario's eligibility, but that would have required me to get dose 2 on the exact day I became eligible.

Now that everyone's eligible, it's possible to get it down to 21 or 28 days.

Both shots pfizer. 7 weeks in between

I think most people got 2nd shot longer than the recommended interval because we weren't allowed to book an appt or there were no appt available

Ontario's original planned interval, based on NACI guidance, was 16 weeks. When I scheduled my first dose, I was given a 2nd dose appointment 16 weeks later.

They only recently (a month or so ago) started speeding up their 2nd dose eligibility because of an increase in vaccine supply, making it possible to reduce that 16 weeks.

I was eligible for dose 1 on April 26. I scheduled that day for the earliest appointment available, and received it May 1.
I was eligible for dose 2 on June 21. I scheduled that day for the earliest appointment available, and received it May 27.

If dose 1 was AstraZeneca, Ontario is enforcing 8 weeks wait for dose 2. I saw this in action when I was getting my 2nd dose. Someone who received a call off the wait list was turned away because they'd received their first dose (AstraZeneca) only 7 weeks earlier.

I know someone had 1st dose of Pfizer on June 10 and 2nd dose on Jul 3rd. That's 23 days.

I tried to book my 2nd shot on the day it was being offered to my age group which was already 5+ weeks after 1st dose. Wouldn't get any appointment after 2 more weeks, which was align with government's expected time frame.

8 weeks to the day for me and 6 weeks for another member of the family. We booked as soon as we were eligible. All Pfizer doses.
Some people just don't get that online forum posts shouldn't always be taken seriously.
