This is so vague.
How big is your basement? What kind of appliances? How complex?

You can buy a vehicle for $1000. Or you can buy a vehicle for $500k.

Downvoted. When I downvote, it try it to be, to be constructive, here's why: not enough infos...

basement isn't big... 500 Sq Ft? 1000 Sq Ft?
Including appliances... what appliances? Only laundry? full kitchen?
What kind of flooring? Vinyl? Carpet? (not recommended) ?
Need electricity work, or already done?
Walls are already onsulated? drywall already installed?
High end materials? is the basement is for a rental?

So many questions to take into consideration, but not much infos from OP

too much questions like this on the forum with not enough informations to give an adequate answer.

i paid about $40000 including materials and labour and including electrical work. about 1300sqft. vinyl floor planks, 3 piece bathroom(did not have rough ins), 1 bedroom, 1 living room. washer and dryer connections. this was before the wood went up up. electrician was a friend of ours. got a discount. and the renovation was by my uncle from NY that charges us $150 a day. he hid in ottawa to avoid the NY pandemic. he has both US and canada citizenship
