How to order from Canon USA?

I had a friend put it on their card and picked it up on a business trip. I couldn't find a workaround to the credit card shipping/billing address requirmemt.

You get much better deals on the U.S. site...

If you're close to the border.. You can always get it sent to a PO box or someone that owns a PO box close to the border

Tons of RFDers have managed to get credit cards with US billing addresses.

The other challenge is getting your item to you in Canada somehow.

This was my go-to place for all things Canon, before the exchange went in the crapper. They have the best prices on new gear (both authorized and grey market) as well as used/refurbed items.

You can ship items to a drop-box at the border (for pick up) and most of the time the merchants will take Canadian credit cards. To save on US state taxes, look for merchants that out of the state you are shipping to...ie buy in New Jersey, ship to New York.
