how to remove ink on the carpet

I accidentally spilt ink (from printer cartridge ) to my carpet. It was an area of 3 inches by 5 inches.

what would be a good way to remove those ink? (ink is water-soluble)

Thanks.

Don't step on it. Use a vacuum to suck it up. Don't wet it.

Someone once did this to a cream coloured skirt I was wearing. The solution was to dab it up with scotch tape and it took all of it out. Absolutely do not wet the area.

I tried and it does not work. Now the ink is dry on the carpet. Any other solution?

Is the "ink" a wet liquid or dry toner powder? What printer is it, to better determine "ink"?

It is ink (water), not powder.

Try DD7 or Stainerator. They use to show commercials on tv about how they can clean stains out of carpet.

This bring up memories of my first job when I was asked to replace the toner in the photocopier. You had to put the toner on then pull this orange tab, I didnt pull the tab so it didnt work. Then someone else came along and tried to show me how to do it, but between us we spilled all the toner EVERYWHERE. The copier had to have a service, the carpet was forever stained and my clothes were toast.
