How should I extend this gas line to the dryer?

I have a GE dryer with a 4 feet long gas line similar to the one shown in the picture.
I need to shift the dryer a bit away from its current location. While everything else works fine except the gas line. I need a longer gas line.

Should I buy a new 5 feet line or should I add a 1 feet extension to the existing line?
