how to transfer US$ in/out of Etrade
I opened a US dollar cash account in Etrade for trading US stocks. But I'm not sure what is the best way to deposit/withdraw US dollars on this account.
I don't have much US dollars yet, thinking of exchange some in my BMO bank and probably I can send a money order to Etrade to fund the US account initially. But later on, how would I be able to withdraw it? Will it be free service for Etrade to issue US$ cheques to me?
For the Etrade CAD account I have now, it's quite convenient by linking my BMO chequing account with Etrade and I can do electronic transfer. So, would it be helpful to open a US dollar chequing account for this purpose as well? Does some bank provide free US dollar cheque books?
