comes with 4GB of ram but it only takes up one slot.

if this has more then one ram slot then getting it to 8gb total would not be too expensive

I bet the $200 hp stream had a 720p tn screen and 32 or 64gb emmc. Probably a lesser a4 or n3000 Celeron processor too.

This HP has a much better screen, much better storage, faster CPU and RAM (which might noticeably affect the onboard graphics performance). But that is a great price for the 14W, if you could get it now. But considering this has an M2 SSD and FHD IPS screen, I think this is a pretty good deal.

There were 2 big selling points for me.
1 was the ability to do some light gaming (aka Roblox for the kids). The Radeon R5 can actually run quite an assortment of games at 720p.
The 2nd was the m.2 SSD that is generally 5x faster than emmc. From what I could find, cheap emmc on budget laptops have around 100 MB/s read and writes compared to around 500 for entry level m.2 drives. All my computer's at home have SSD drives and I don't think I could go back to 100MB/s bottlenecking my user experience. If you've never experienced SSD performance before, you can't go back, but that's just me.

If the ram is upgradable this is pretty decent looking.
