The 8440p in OP @$273 has an i5 1st gen cpu and comes with 90 day warranty. Not so great.
Better value is this 8470p @$306 with an i5 3rd gen cpu and comes with 1 year warranty:

At the $273 price point, you can easily get a 2nd gen Core i5, or even a 3rd gen core i5 for about $50-70 more.
