I received my Omen this evening in BC. I contacted Ebates yesterday and they advised that since they do not have information regarding the HP order they need to contact HP to ask about the order. Their canned responses indicates it could take up to 10 days and in some cases up to 45! It's a canned responses though as I got the same thing when I asked about a Sonos purchase that I completely forgot about. They did come through though for the Sonos rebate after about a week. We'll see what happens. I'm not sure I want to keep this PC if I don't get the expected ~$180 Cash Back from Ebates. It's definitely less of a hot deal without that.

I got the same response. I love how Ebates just assumed the purchase isn't in their system. I ALREADY received cash back, just not the advertised 12%, so obviously my order is in their system.
I don't mind being patient. But saying my order isn't in their system is just being lazy on their part.

As expected the CPU is about 10% faster. I paid about $1700 + HST - $120 Ebates - $58 Dell ePromo Card.
So all in similar $/performance basically and Ryzen 7 1700 is an excellent gaming CPU for the $.

I cannot believe this. After several canned responses from Ebates customer service saying they needed to hear from HP.com, now they just advised that my cash back is denied because my trip shows 3rd party use of payment?! what the heck does it even mean? My trip record clearly shows that I went to HP Canada to order the product...
I've never been so frustrated with Ebates...
Update: Ebates offering me bonus $100 reward for the next online order as they denied my cash back. Lost quite a bit of credibility in Ebates after this
Update 2: After speaking with customer service rep for almost an hour, they were able to honor my shopping trip and reward 12% cash back. Phew, it was a tough fight but word of advice people, if you are using Ebates you need to make sure no other tabs or windows are opened at the time of purchase. Even if the trip record shows that you went through Ebates, they may not credit your order.

I finally was credited an ebates rebate (I had my online order denied because CC address didn't match in the original order, so I had to call in to complete the order). They finally credited me, but only for the following amount:
$1,599.99 $137.28
Looks like closer to 8.5% vs. 12%. I've already replied back to the ticket asking why the lesser amount. Glad to know some people here received their full 12% rebate so at least I can call out the fact other people were credited the full amount.
Update: Ebates has amended the cash back amount to equal 12% of the original purchase (though it was posted at 6% of double the original purchase amount for some reason). In any case, the expected amount has been received.
