*** Warning! ***

I just tried to place an order, and not only did it not provide the discount, there was an additional $20 surcharge!

To make matters worse, it only shows you this AFTER you click "continue" (not "place order" or similar), which places the order BEFORE showing you the final total!

So, my $75 order which I expected to be $55, turned out to be $107!!!

I immediately called customer service to get a refund, but I expect that this will turn into a fight with PayPal/Mastercard for a deceptive charge.

Apparently, this place is associated with Bloomex -> warning-1-800-flowers-ca-avoid-all-costs-940067/.

There is another warning here -> just-heads-up-all-guys-out-there-dont-b ... s-1298171/.

Can anybody confirm? I don't see a website listed in the other threads and it seems to me that 800-flowers is a unique name. I don't want to accidentally bash a good business but there is already one bad review a couple of posts above me.

Hmm, that is odd. I have actually used 1800 flowers a few times now... the only problem I had was when my girlfriend went to a small town and they contracted some small flower shop that did a horrible job. 1800 flowers is a big company, never had any scam problems with them....

I order flowers for family members each year for Christmas. Last year I used 1-800-Flowers for the first time and the arrangements were the scrawniest-looking I've ever seen. I was embarassed when I saw the delivered product. I realize they fulfill locally but whoever did it did a terrible job. Never again.
