Overpriced, poor quality. Stick with something from a real watchmaker. I imagine that this is made by Fossil. Fossil seems to be making watches for many "Designer" brands.

Seems to be a different league (divers) watch, and looks bulkier. Not to mention the color.

How is it poor quality? Did you own one?

As a part time watchmaker/hobbyist, I do not need to own one to know it is a POS. Just from looking at the photo with the exhibition caseback, I can see that it houses a generic Chinese automatic movement. If you are looking for a well made watch in this price point, look at Seiko.

I'm done with black stainless steel bands. Almost all of them have the black band wears off after a few months of use

Definitely made by Fossil. http://www.fossilgroup.com/about-us/our ... ed-brands/

Seiko is a much better option and they make their own movements.

this particular one is ion-plated, so it should hold.

Even Seiko ion-plate wears out pretty quickly too.

But the difference between a designer and watch brand is it something goes wrong, you can track down parts with a watch brand to fix, designer brand pretty much goes to the garage. Yes, they will show on paper a warranty but once you try to make a claim, they will likely just offer you a stupid coupon to repurchase, often far below what the original purchased price was. Try to do a search on this topic to see.

To me, if watch lasts 3 years, it is good enough. From what I was able to collect about those MK watches, they are durable enough (by my standards anyway).
I don't buy watch to wear it for more than 3 years. It becomes boring.

Bought an MK a couple boxing days ago, brought it back to an MK store 3-4 times to get the damn stainless steel band links fixed and the spring pins/rods still shift out of place!!!
I know at least a one other person with the same issue

Please don't buy watches made by companies that have no business being in the watch market. This includes low end brands like MK, Guess, and higher end brands like Gucci and Versace. Buying it will only encourage more non-watch markers to start selling watches that they know nothing about and essentially just selling their brand on a re-branded product. You will get next to no support from them because they don't even make it and the maker of the watch doesn't care about you because you weren't buying their product.

Only exception I would make is for Chanel because J12 is a legit watch. The rest are just rebranded Fossil/Seiko/Citizen stuff, so why not just buy the watch from the OEM?

AFAIK Gucci watches are legit Swiss watches. A lot of their watches use ETA (Swiss, non-clone) automatic movements. Their watch devision is owned by the parent of Girard-Perregaux. Still overpriced because of the brand name, but legit watches.

Because I believe Audemars Piguet developed their movement.

So you prefer buying overpriced designer watches every 3 years instead of buying from a real watchmaker whose products will way longer?
