20% off a T248 is pretty hot that's $100 off. Even works for PS5 and Gran Turismo 7 that just came out.

Excited to try some of those games in VR

Good luck. I got iRacing last May, joined a league, and I've spent far more than I ever intended. (but I'm having a blast!)

Great bundle. I wanted most of these games and was too cheap and too backlogged to buy them during previous steam sales.

Thrustmaster.com discount code for T248 and T150 is HumbleB20. Be warned, I'm told these low end steering wheels actually make it harder for you to drive because of very little force feedback that comes through and they make you feel like you are driving a boat. So if you are serious about sim racing, spend once and buy Fanatec.

Not true. Been sim racing for many years and have progressed through G29's to T150's and now direct drive. The T150's feedback is quite good and will not hold you back at all and I mainly used that for the first few years of my sim racing experience.

Fanatec makes nice stuff and a great selection, but by no means the be all end all of hardware. There are many different brands that are either same price or cheaper and just as good if not better.

edit: The only real downfall of the T150's is the crappy pedals they come with. They are usable, but would be the first path of upgrade after a while

I race with friends who have T150 and I am always faster than them while being on controller. $1000 fanatec bundle with load cell kit is hard to beat

yeah, if you are talking about PS gran turismo, controller has always been faster than wheel. The top GT champion from i believe 2020 used a T150 to be in the top ranking.

Let's also not forget that Gran Turismo is not a sim. It's more of an arcade racer. The ones in the deal above would be considered sims.

It's not the equipment, its the talent. Spend some time on the sim forums and you will get a better idea. 1000 bucks for a a direct drive wheel and load cell brake is definitely a good deal if you are in the market for that although its still lower end.

None of the top GT Champions have ever used T150 to get anywhere. Official GT wheel was originally Thrustmaster T-GT, then T-GT II and now Fanatec GT DD Pro. Using the Official GT wheel is a requirement when participating in their events. It's listed in their agreement and you can see players use that wheel in GT Live.

T-GT is a GT specific version of Thrustmaster's highest end wheelbase which is belt driven and has less torque (~5.5nm) than Fanatec's $1000 bundle (8mn) which is direct drive.

T150 is a toy. You do not feel road texture with that wheel.

The full name of GT states "real driving simulator". It's not arcade. Need For Speed is arcade.

Ok, light reading for you from the 2018 event. I can find others but not interested any more:

T150 is not a "toy" like you may think. It is an entry level force feedback wheel, but still capable.

lol, my coffee mug says "worlds greatest dad" does that make it true?

Gran Turismo is a great game and I have been playing every version of it since GT1. But not what I would call a "simulator". It is know in the sim world as a "simcade". Not really need for speed but certainly not assetto corsa competizione

I just went through this, there is no $1000 Fanatec bundle that includes the boost kit and the load cell. A CSL DD with the cheapest plastic/rubber CSL rim and CSL load cell pedals is $1060 CAD plus customs and tax. It's another $190 CAD for the boost kit. If you need PS compatibility the GT DD Pro bundle is $1400 CAD plus customs and taxes. Fanatec shipping to Canada is currently $140 USD. I watched and read many reviews and they all said the CSL DD without the boost kit was a bit underwhelming. I just upgraded from a G27 to a T300 Alcantara and the difference is substantial. The T3PA pedals aren't the greatest, but T-LCMs will fix that, and still be well under the cost of a base Fanatec kit.

https://www.gran-turismo.com/gb/gtsport/form/ovs/ --> Section 3.5.8, read it and weep!

Not only is T150 a toy, T248, T300, G29, T80 these are all toys. I would'nt buy it for a 10-year old to play Mario Kart with.

The bare-minimum for serious entry level wheel is Thrustmaster T-GT (if you are GT fan), or TS-XW (for Xbox/PC) or TS-PC (for PC). All of these Thrustmaster wheels have same wheel base and ~5nm torque. A real vehicle with power-steering system will give the driver 6-8nm torque in force feedback terms. That said, all of these Thrustmaster wheels cost $1000 and don't have direct drive, nor do they have loadcell kit. If you buy Fanatec's $1000 bundle, you get 8nm boost-pack, direct drive, and loadcell kit, It's as close to real life you can get. If you want Pro-level wheel base, Fanatec has Podium series with 20nm of torque, wheelbase alone is $1500, then you buy pedals and wheel as you want, it'll end up costing $2200. 20nm is something you will feel in real life if the car doesn't have power-steering. And that WILL give you an arm workout.

Anything over 20nm is fetish, not realism.

You can go OpenSimWheel route to fulfill your fetish, but nobody enjoys soldering and finding matching DC-motor + Controller + spare parts. Or fabricating custom brackets, etc. It's a waste of time when Fanatec pre-packages everything for you at a low cost.

Your "world's greatest dad" coffee mug didn't have a team of people lead by a person who dedicated his life towards building some accurate, like Kazunori Yamauchi did for Gran Turismo.

Also the fact that the CSL DD and CSL load cell kit are currently on backorder. And again there is no bundle for $1000 CAD that includes the load cell and boost kit.
