yes, I have Android Auto now with the GPS map update so that's a bonus (once I figure out how to use it).

Getting android auto on cars that did not previously have android would be scorching hot!

I'd also like to know if it works with the non-nav system they call "UVO" on a 2016 Sorento. Getting Android Auto would be sweet!

I put this on my Optima. Apple Carplay was working fine the first time, but now whenever I connect the screen is frozen at the app selection screen, can't scroll or select anything (i.e. Maps, Phone).

Tried turning the car off and on and same deal.

Updates my 2016 Sonata... took about 25min or so.

All the history was kept... Map colour scheme changed, some new option in menu. I did noticed it was slow to load. Will test it out a few more times and see. So far so good.

Have not tested the android auto but might not use the feature...

And are you referring to the one with the crippled 100km range battery that you can even order lol?
The only thing I don't like about my $h!ty Korean car is that it wont die. I have had 5 Dodge Caravans from the 80's and bought a Soul in '11 when the kids started moving on. There is over 400,000KMS on it now and no hint of stopping. When it does I am getting another Soul but electric.

You need a unit with an SD card to update. Nav only.

So, I just call my dealer about something else and asked about the navigation update.

My dealer is waiting for stock but I can get it upgrade without additional cost for my 2014 Kia Optima Turbo.

Thanks OP! Updated the wife's 2015 Hyundai Sonata Sport Tech! Took about 20 mins as everyone mentioned, she now has Apple Carplay and Android Auto with the updated navigation!
Also, thanks to some posters here who advised about FAT32 and using bigger cards. Only had a 64GB SD card laying around, deleted the volume using Disk Management, and re-formated the card to FAT32 at 32GB only (also using Disk Management). Downloaded onto the card and updated the car no problem!

I was wary of this at first as my wife's car has a FW not listed/under the recommended FW. Worked like a charm with no issues! Good luck!
EDIT: FW before update was ST.LF.CAN.E430.140425. I just used the 2015 Hyundai Sonata on the drop downs and easy peasy.

2015 Sorento is not supported..... very sad...

I read post above for which 2015 Sonata is included but why leaving out 2015 Kia Sorento?

call your dealership... ask them if they have free upgrade available.

I asked my dealer but they said they have not received the SD cards...

it doesn't have an SD card slot and usb simply won't work with firmware upgrading...

Now both my Kia and Hyundai won't see any updates sad sad sad
