I installed central AC and overhauled my entire heating system last year, am I eligible for any rebates?
This whole subject of rebates is confusing. It seems like there are so many different programs, offered through so many different channels.
I know this started recently https://saveonenergy.ca/Consumer/Progra ... arted.aspx but I called them and since my renos happened in approx. April 2017 I'm not eligible.
Backstory: we took ownership of an older home in Dec 2016. The house had no air conditioning and was heated by radiators through an antiquated oil furnace/boiler type system. I'm still not even sure what to call it, and every trades person that came to my place didn't seem clear. It basically looked like a giant Kilm that ignited a fire to burn the oil in order to heat the water?
In any case, we had duct work put in, a new gas water heater and an air handler to push the air through the ducts. Later into the season we had central AC put in.
All of this work was done by my brother in law, or someone he works with (he does HVAC), so they were cash jobs and I have no receipts or paperwork.
Am I eligible for any rebates? I imagine it might not be too hard to have any paperwork drawn up, but would that impact the business my brother in law works for in any negative way?
Thanks in advance.
