[IBM] Refurbished ThinkPad T530 CAD360

Deal Link:
More offers from IBM
IBM has available some interesting refurbished off-lease T530 notebooks [15.6" HD+, i5-3320M, 8GB, SSD, etc]. One model is English and the other is French Canadian (specs are slightly different: SSD size, webcam, etc.) Both sold for CAD360 (after coupon discount), with free shipping. You must enter the coupon code ibmepp to get the CAD60 off discount.

A very interesting feature of their current promo is that IBM is adding a free one year extended warranty option for notebooks (warranty period for their refurbs is normally 3 months).

The notebooks specs and a sample cart breakdown are on the pictures attached.

BTW, there are other laptop models available.

Edit:
* If the laptop is NOT what you expected, then just return it (for example, screen resolution.) Returns for full refund are hassle-free within seven (7) days from delivery day. No harm done.
** Please test your laptops thoroughly, and if it has a defective part, -for example, worn battery or non functioning component, then request that part exchanged for a good one. It's particularly worth requesting a battery exchanged if it's too cycled or can't hold more than let's say 70%-80% of its nominal maximum charge.
*** There's a FHD T530 on sale at ca.refurb.io going for $640, FYI

My bad about the resolution. I've bought several W's from IBM and all have had HD+ displays when the description said WSXGA wide angle. Even the peeps on the ongoing thread say the same.

This seems like a really hot deal given quality of the T530's especially with the SSD, 8GB and 1 year warranty!

I've never bought from Lenovo Refurbished before.

Does the Free Shipping include To Canada?

Yes, and these ship from Canada (Mississauga IIRC) so no extra taxes/duties on delivery either. Bought a T530 for a parent about two years ago and it arrived looking like new, other than the "REFURBISHED PRODUCT" sticker on the bottom.

How do you know they are HD+ vs HD? This model comes in both flavors and the site does not seem to indicate which you get.

Is there an easy way to look up the build specs on these? I am also curious about the screen types as well as whether I can find a unit with dedicated graphics! I am preferable to a 14"

English OOS, French in stock. What can I expect with a French laptop? Is it changeable to English?

$420 English model Out of Stock. There is one at the very bottom which is $520 and does not have a SSD. Wonder why $100 more...

The software switchover is simple enough, the keyboard is held in by I think two or three screws on the bottom of the laptop, then you can install one of these: http://www.ebay.ca/itm/New-Lenovo-Think ... 1027360644 or look for part number 04X1201 if you don't want a backlit keyboard and want to save a few dollars. Makes the deal a lot cooler overall though.

The X230, T430 and T530 all used the same keyboard. There's a PDF with the full list of parts if you wanted to verify the 04X1240 is the correct fit for the T530: https://download.lenovo.com/parts/Think ... 131007.pdf
