What is a good average fare from YUL or YOW to Iceland?

I'm looking for June 2019 and I saw flight to London and then back from Iceland for 650$ return with Air Canada. Checked luggage is included so this seems a pretty good price to me. Just not sure if something cheaper will come along...

I mean winter in London is still winter but it is much milder than the majority of Canada. You can't expect a tropical vacation but we have gone several times in the winter months and have had a great time. London is also very beautiful near Christmas time.

Not surprised, they already lost $60M in the first half of 2018 and are negotiating because changes in accounting policies (IFRS) caused them to violate their debt covenants. Make sure you grab travel insurance, though it should be fine with Nov/Dec travel dates.

This airline usually has deals like this in December since Iceland only gets 4 hours of sunlight a day this time of year.
Pack your own food, if you can get a 7 hour layover it's perfect for enjoying the blue lagoon just 20 minutes away from KEF airport by bus.

Look into taking a Ryanair flight or buses to Europe and explore the Christmas Markets. It can be done for cheap.

London is beautiful in Winter, when compared to Canada Winter there is mild. When I was in London in 2009, max winter temperature I have seen is only -10 C in the night, unless we have screwed up the earth drastically since.

Rode it to europe a few years back when it first started offering low cost NA <> Europe flights via Iceland. Checked luggage was still free then. The ride and service itself is not bad. More or less feels like Air Canada, like an economical country flagship, and not so much a ultra low cost carrier. i would do Iceland Air over AC Rouge or Wow any day (can't speak to Norweigian).

Sums up Canadian domestic airfare in a nutshell. Gotta love our oligopoly.
