Half of more will likely close within 5 yrs after opening...Cost structure here just kills the value proposition these places try to appeal to.

We're all bozos on the bus until we find a way to express ourselves...

Failure is always an option...just not the preferred one!

After the experience in IHOP Niagara Falls, for me this brand associated with overpriced breakfast.

They closed and MORE Golden Griddles opened up. Now GG is gone, so I guess this is why they're coming back?
Regardless, they'll still have to tackle pretty much any place with the word "Egg" in the name. lol

Was going to be my question too. LOL
I grew up in Vancouver and there were lots of IHOP's. Don't know any more but now that I think about it, I have not seen any in Ontario. Maybe they are coming back as opposed to just now coming?

There has been an iHop in Niagara falls (Canadian side) forever, but it's a tourist trap. Prices hiked higher than what might be found in Vancouver, but indeed a lot higher than what Golden griddle was charging for pancakes in Toronto.

thats their name..the serve everything..like a mini dennys...open 24hrs ..truck stop type...usually employing..single mom..minorities, recovering something or others...but all seem to be good people..service is great and fast..food is fresh and reasonable..and coffee is great... in and out type of place mostly for breakfast

IHOP will be irrelevent. I can get what they offer at Denny's or even Sunrise breakfast chain.

They'll hopefully stick around once they arrive, but they'll also be very creative, no doubt.
They're already putting pancakes in the middle of their burgers...
