[IKEA] Eat Your Receipt: Eat at Ikea Aug 8-14, get discount coupon for value of food redeemable Aug 15-31 on $150+ purchase

Doesn't appear to be any upper limit, just a minimum purchase of $10 in food... might be a good consolation if you couldn't take advantage of the $25 off $150+ purchase deal last month, or the $50 off $250+ deal now (due to availability/OOS, etc.).

I hadn't partaken in the past, but see below for previous threads. This year, it's a bit different (for better or worse), in that the home furnishings purchase only needs to be $150+ (was $200+ previously), and this year it's not eat-then-shop on the same trip; you have to come back at a later date to redeem the coupon.
Eat your receipt
From August 8 – 14th, dine in our IKEA Swedish Restaurant & Café and between Aug 15th – 31st, come back to shop and we will deduct the price of your restaurant purchase (min. purchase required; $10 before tax) from any home furnishing purchase over $150*

*Offer valid in-store at participating IKEA Canada stores only from August 8, 2022 to August 31, 2022. Coupon provided at IKEA Restaurant & Café upon purchase of a meal(s) from August 8-14, 2022 over $10 before taxes. Alcohol excluded from the coupon offer. Coupon valid for redemption from August 15 – 31, 2022 on a home furnishing purchase that must exceed $150 before tax. Coupon must be presented at check-out for offer to apply. Limit of one restaurant receipt per purchase. Discount applied to purchase price before tax. Valid for in-store purchases only and on in-stock merchandise only. Discount may only be used once. Duplicates will not be accepted. No cash value. Coupon will not be replaced if lost, stolen, or used without permission. Not valid for online purchases, previous purchases, IKEA Services, or items sold from the As-Is department. Not valid for purchases from the Swedish Bistro or Swedish Food Market. Cannot be combined with any other offers or discounts. In the event of a return, the promotional discount may be deducted from the refund. Other exclusions may apply. IKEA reserves the right to modify or cancel coupons at any time. See IKEA.ca or your nearest IKEA Canada location for details.
Here's an example of the coupon/voucher you get with your food purchase:

And for reference, here are some threads regarding previous EYR events (pretty entertaining discussion and pictures of how much food some people will get):
  • 2021 - I think it was skipped due to the pandemic?
  • March 5 to 29, 2020 - no wait period (could use same day), but required $200+ purchase. Thread here. Probably ended early due to pandemic shut-down.
  • Dec 26, 2019 to Jan 5, 2020 (could use same day), but required $200+ purchase. Thread here.
  • Jan 28, 2019 to Feb 1, 2019 (could use same day), but required $200+ purchase. Thread here.
  • Dec 10, 2018 to Dec 14, 2018 (could use same day), but required $200+ purchase. Thread here.
  • Aug 20, 2018 to Aug 31, 2018 (could use same day), but required $200+ purchase. Thread here.

Some of the marketplace stuff is sold in the cafeteria. Not sure how they will separate this on the bill? Say I add a bottled yogurt drink from the cafeteria, would it count even though it’s also a marketplace item?

There is the potential to be burned by their rule interpretation.

"Valid for in-store purchases only and on in-stock merchandise only."

Ikea has this all planned with back to school shopping crowd and limited stock availability. GTA ppl will be running from Burlington to North York to find everything in stock under one bill.

What's the return policy on items discounted by eat the receipt code ? a store credit or discount is gone?

Edit -found in the details- "In the event of a return, the promotional discount may be deducted from the refund." ...may be ..hmm

there has to be a catch.. this seems too good to be true. what is considered "home furnishings" everything or just furniture?

edit: true RFD, stack with this..
Every time you buy 10 meals in the IKEA restaurant and scan your IKEA Family card, you’ll get 1 free meal!

I love this promo, such a fun idea! I did it last time but we just had a normal meal about $30, I invited others but they were unable to come.

Too bad I have no need for Ikea purchases this year.

I have a question, in the details it says "..n a home furnishing purchase that must exceed $150 before tax. " so this only applies to home furnishing purchases? not, "all" purchases at Ikea?
