This is pretty hot for cities that don't have an Ikea nearby (shipping is usually insanely high).

I've contacted Ikea customer support a few times and it has always been a nightmare. I'd send an email and see what happens though... expect a response in 2-3 weeks...

Thanks Op. Closest IKEA is 30km and would rather avoid buying more unnecessary stuff or the crowds at the North York one

This is a great time to get the PAX stuff for the closet. We took advantage of this last time. Worth it for delivery as the PAX is long and heavy as @#$%!

Mucher cheaper than renting a van for the big items. Got all my wardrobes last time.

I've been putting off properly setting up my office (ie. buying new furniture) in our new house because I did not want to spend my time driving to and from Ikea on top of dealing with the place - $29 delivery charge is awesome. Thanks OP.

Thanks OP. Was planning to make some purchases for home furniture, good to save some money on shipping.

I think it's a hot deal... Wish I already had a house to fill in what I needed. Rather not buy the stuff now and have to move it

Bought a twin and a double spring mattress with pu at one of their pick up points. Wish I'd paid the shipping instead. Ended up sticking out of our Kia Forte trunk for a 40km trip, just glad it didn't snow or rain.

Cool! That didn't work last time they had "free" shipping -the store broke when trying to check out. Ikea Twitter eventually said I was outside the delivery (though the fine print only stated that for the territories and the Yukon). This time it worked!

I've been waiting on a deal like this, have a bunch of stuff to order for the new house. Should be a $70 savings compared to the normal $99 for my area.

They're known for not refunding anything thats related to shipping costs. Primarily because they contract out their delivery company to some third-party that uses rental vans...
Tried fighting in the past via phone, email, twitter...no dice.
