[IKEA] Ikea $20 Christmas Trees W/ $20 Off $75 Coupon

Ikea has their usual Christmas Tree promotion on again. Buy a Christmas Tree for $20 and get a $20 off $75 coupon for use from Jan 2nd to Feb. 28th.

These are natural Firs about 6 feet tall, and they are also donating a portion of sales to Tree Canada. Great if you want that type of tree and are a frequent Ikea shopper.

I used to work for the company and I noticed they're tightening up their incentives

I.E.
Kitchen events are now $100 per $1000, not the old 10-15-20% tiers

This xmas tree coupon used to be a straight $20GC I think. Now you're asking the customer to spend extra to get $20OFF

Anyway, this is still a great deal for people who shop at IKEA frequently.

A little Viagra and a tree stand.

How long ago was that? They've offered the $20 off $75 coupon since at least Christmas 2009.

I believe I left the company in 08/09.

Anyway, here's an xmas gift: IKEA will have a "deal" starting Dec 12. Hold on to your purchases for now.

WHICH TREE STAND TO BUY - I recommend you get a good, sturdy stand - it will last you for years. I purchased an inexpensive one, and the tree kept falling over! Make the investment once with a good stand. We purchased this one 2 years ago, and are very happy with it - you can buy it at different stores:

I did this 2 years now, I live very close to Ikea Calgary. Trees are definitely adequate & fragrant. My trouble is I still have last year’s $20 coupon!
Ever since they changed their cheap breakfast deal, we haven’t been back - can’t think of anything needed to buy, other than $1 breakfast. But $20 is a fair good price even without the coupon.

These trees are decent size/quality for $20.

Re: the coupon, last year I ended up stopping by my local IKEA -- since it's right by my work -- to try and give away the coupon as I'd forgotten about it until the last day. People were too dumb or suspicious to just take it from me. I had to switch tactics and simply walk up to the cashier and ask them if the customer in line was spending over $75 and then hand over the coupon
