[IKEA] IKEA: 20% off Kitchen Appliances - February 2 to March 1

IKEA has 20% off kitchen appliances until March 1.

I have not bought any of their models, but have heard that they are manufactured by Whirlpool (not sure if that applies to all).

Anyone have the ESSENTIELL dishwasher, or any Ikea dishwasher for that matter?
Is the price difference up to a Bosch 300 worth it? The Bosch seem to be the holy-grail, but how much better can it really be?

I see that one of their fridges matches a Frigidaire exactly. So they are probably manufactured by different OEMs.

In this case, you aren't saving anything with the Ikea model because the Frididaire sells for the same price at retailers

I currently have a Bosch 300 series and absolutely love it. Dishwasher at old place was a Whirlpool that left dishes dirty, and needed heat dry to actual get anything dry. The Bosch gets everything clean every time, and dishes come out very dry (except where water can pool) and doesn't use heat dry so plastics are safe in bottom rack as well.

If you have access to Perkopolis, or know someone who does, they aren't that much more expensive than the sale price of the ESSENTIELL. Ours was around $780 pre-tax when we purchased in May.

I've got an IKEA induction stove. Made by Fridgidaire and it's pretty good for the money. Would buy again. Might look for an OTR microwave/vent hood on this sale - anyone have any experience?

The induction stove seems to be OOS in Ottawa store, any other electric stove worth buying? Also, does ikea charge delivery, do they take away your old appliance as well?

I saw a delivery fee for a fridge but didn't see anything about take-away during check-out. I went with Costco instead which is free delivery and take-away. Other appliance stores offer delivery+takeaway ($80 for Corbeil for example)

It's really annoying to have to deal with disposing something like a fridge yourself. It would cost a fair bit to have junker pick it up to recycle it.

I didn't see any advantage of ordering from Ikea.....their prices are no better and you can likely buy the same equivalent model elsewhere

(for their rangers, they look like they could be manufactured by Frididaire as well.....this one has very similar graphics in the controls compared to Ikea's)

So I have an LG induction cooktop that I ordered in August that looks like it will be almost a year late. Just wondering if anyone has tried the 36" SAMFÄLLD (https://www.ikea.com/ca/en/p/samfaelld- ... -70462064/) I read a review that it was loud, but not sure if that is an isolated case or not... or if its any good at all.

Friends don't let friends buy Ikea dishwashers!
Any Bosch dishwasher will be better than Ikea.

Simple reason is the exposed heating element. Food will get stuck on there and make a mess.
The Bosch element is not directly exposed to food.

Below examples of Bosch vs Ikea heating elements.

Our 8 year Bosch (Actually branded Kenmore) is great, except there is some weak seals on ours and it triggers the leak sensor when the floorpan catches enough water (I just dry it out with a rag every month or so)

I would buy one again for sure. It's quiet and cleans well. It doesn't dry as well and has a very long wash cycle but I actually prefer that because it is more gentle on the dishes because it doesn't use high heat in the dry cycle.
