Looks nice but doesnt the table slide across when you move your arm ?

Also the total comes to around $300... not so cheap...

I have that setup and the table doesn't slip. It's heavy enough that when it rest on the rubber pads included with the alex drawer, it's very stiff.
It's more stable than when you get a desk top from the office section of Ikea.

With the price he posted the total is 215$ + tx

Could get some L brackets from Home Depot for 70 cents just to be sure.

No decorations, spotless place, reminds me of my single/bachelor days.

Unfortunately the deals in Calgary right now are crappy, except for the PAX deals, which is funny since we just got ours a few weeks ago.

Do they have the white Alex drawers on sale as well, or only the grey ones specifically?

Amazing deal! I have this combo for my office desk at home and it looks great. The end result of this combo is a desk that looks like $1000+ for less than $250. It's very practical as well, since those drawers get a ton of mileage and it's easily disassembled if you need to move.

If you get the 249 cm length counter top I recommend installing a single table leg in the back-centre to prevent sagging over time since the unsupported hang is substantial. It also let me clamp a dual monitor arm to the desk without worrying about the concentrated load on that spot.

Also made my computer desk with these items but I used one drawer plus two legs. Good deal!

Would the counter top fit an SUV like the Honda pilot, behind the front row with 2nd and 3rd row seats down?
Not sure with the packaging....... so hope someone can confirm?

For those of you with the Karlby don't you find the depth too short ? Im debating between the Karlby and the Gerton.

Karlby is wider but not as depth only 25" vs the Gerton less wide but depth is 31" if I am not wrong.

I am just scared of being sitting to close to the monitor and I also like to have half of my arms on the desk. If you guys can give some feedback about this it would be nice.

Thanks

I had it in my Tucson with the passenger seat tilted forward. But the pilot is much bigger so you should be fine.

Was concerned about this too. But I also upgraded by mounting my monitors on stands so they're further back ans I keep all the desk space.
