[IKEA] MARKERAD Limited Collection - IKEA x VIRGIL ABLOH

IKEA x VIRGIL ABLOH
Available November 1st 2019 in-store only.
Not available online. Limited quantities.

You’ve just moved into your new place. And now it’s time to find the things that’ll make it really feel like yours.

Make your mark with MARKERAD, a limited edition collection designed in collaboration with world-renowned creative Virgil Abloh. Together we’ve updated a range of everyday objects – from clocks to chairs – with the kind of striking style that can help any home stand out.

How to buy
As we anticipate a lot of excitement, this collection will be sold in a unique way for Canada. On Friday, November 1st, IKEA Family members will be able to exclusively shop the collection at all IKEA stores across Canada. Not an IKEA Family member? Don’t worry, signing up is free and easy on IKEAFamily.ca.

Here’s how it works:

Starting at 6 AM, each store will give wristbands to the first 300 IKEA Family members that visit. This is first come, first serve. Note – doors to shop the collection will still open at regular store time. View the MARKERAD Event Wristband Policy.

After the exclusive IKEA Family shopping experience, the collection will then open-up to the general public at 12 PM that day. While supplies last.

For all shoppers, there will be a limited purchase quantity of the collection. This collection is not available for purchase online.

So dumb. Then again, I have no sensibilities for most art.

Then again, IKEA is to art what McDonalds is to beef.

I think my favourite was the tool set in a different colour that cost $3 more.

Kind of interesting, I respect them for pushing the boundaries somewhat, but nothing too remarkable about it.

The receipt rug is hilarious though.

Ikea has posted the minimum quantities that each store will have (and it's not many). The clocks are already 3x the price on reseller sites. Great opportunity for someone with the time.

Didn' think IKEA could be popular with hypebeasts yet here we are.

Kind wish they'd have a limited edition Billy Bookcase or Lack coffee table with a big "PARTICLE BOARD" embossed on it. Would totally "cop" that.

What's stopping one person from going in and buying all the stock?
