[IKEA] POÄNG Chair - 20-25% Off Oct 17-Nov 3

Warm deal as it's been cheaper in previous years, but I've been waiting for the POÄNG Chairs to go on sale for the past 10 months and this is the first discount that I've noticed.
25% Off fabric version at $99.00 before taxes
20% Off leather version at $159.00 before taxes

Pricing is for Ikea Family members which is free to sign up.

Has anybody who had a new born child used the rocking chair version ? The oven timer is done in a few months and think I’ll need a rocker.

Don't let your girlfriend sit on your lap while you're in one of these else you'll inadvertently modify the chair into the lesser known Pocrünch variant. Speaking from experience.

This is RFD, body pillows don’t weigh that much do they?

Not the rocking version, but we have the regular one in our toddler's room from day one. It rocks enough when you push the back and while there are probably more comfty chairs to hold a baby in, this one is cheap and did the job. Congrats and good luck!

Ex-GF to be more accurate and actually she sat on and then bounced on me. I'm about 170 Lbs and she was about 120 Lbs I think.

Thanks for this. Been needing a chair for my man-cave and I had some Ikea gift cards laying around from the kitchen event. Just picked one up with a foot stool. Thanks!

We used the normal poang at first but was uncomfortable. Hard hand rest so baby's head or feet could hit it, the head pillow pushes head forward.

We opted for an electric recliner after few months use. But that's comparing apples to oranges...

Bingo. The chair is fine for the first 5 or 10 minutes, but after that it gets very uncomfortable. The headrest/cushion leaning forward is the major culprit.
It's amazing after over a couple decades they still haven't made any changes to that.

Did she bounce on and off you consecutively in a rhythm for a period of time? If yes, than maybe that’s why it broke.
