Importing Events from Calendar URL

Hello Folks,

I'm looking to import events from a third party URL currently connected to Google Calendar.

Is there a way for me to:
(1) Extract the events from the URL.
(2) Dump them back into Google Calendar.

I'm considering taking the events and hosting them on my domain under a specific URL. What do you think?

Why the effort? The current Calendar URL host is going down in a matter of weeks.

I'm open to your suggestions and ideas.

Thank you all.

It looks like I can take the generate Google Public URL and turn it into an .ics for import later.

The old method of URL tomfoolery no longer works, is there an easy way to extract this public URL into an .ics file?
