Income Tax - Carryover amounts ?

Hi,

Just logged into my CRA account online and saw I have 3 years of carryovers from 1994-1996. Never knew I had, adds up to over 5k.

What can I do with it? Or is it lost as long time since, as i don't have my records from back then saved....always shred 7 years after filing.

Thanks in advance.

Surprised they didn't apply those credits when they assessed your return

Most likely you will lose it. They let you go back 10 years I think. May be call CRA and ask them what can be done.
Why do you want to climb Mt. Everest, Sir? - Because it is there.

Got through in less than 2 minutes. WOW!

Since I have never owed $, they are still available to be used.

And they do not expire.

??? do you not have a job that pays more than basic credit and some other minor credits for you to be able to use your tuition credits? I will run out of my own next year for sure. I assume anyone with income over $14k will start to touch the tuition credits
