Increasing storage on my Google Pixel Phone - What are my options?

I have a Google Pixel phone with 32GB ram and wanted to do some 4K videos on my upcoming holiday. What I would like to do is record my video to either:

- A TINY MicroSD card reader to the phone and use my Sandisk Extreme 64GB in it
- A USB-C drive to connect to the phone

I figure 64 GB to 28 GB would give me enough to do some good 4K video samples.

Has anyone tried this and what are my options?

Thanks

You have no options. Free up as much space as possible on the phone and record your video. Transfer the video off the phone as soon as possible so you can free up the space for the next video.

Not sure if USB C supports OTG (On the Go)

Didn't Pixel offered a bigger Google Drive as part of their phone promo?
Or you can us something like this. Might be too slow for your applications since you're doing 4k videos.
Last resort would be bring a laptop & good ol transfer route.

You'll need to use another app, the default google camera doesn't support recording to storage other than internal.
USB OTG may work with other apps, I have not tested this however.

Google has provided unlimited full quality backup for Pixel, so once you finish taking your videos and the storage fills up then back them up to Google Photos use the tool in google photos to clear out photos on the internal storage that have already been backed up.
Current device: Samsung Galaxy Note20 Ultra 5G

Hello

Thanks for letting me know. The issue is I will be in the US and the Caribbean and not using my data unless on a public wifi. I figure that I would rather copy my video files to a flash drive and is why I am looking for an external solution.

Kinda goes without saying but whatever you choose, do your testing now, way before your trip, and I would plan on buying 2 of whatever works, in case one fails while on your trip.
