It looks like you need to create an account to get them. What is offered up after that? Some exe files to play directly?

I remember memorizing all the "age security" questions when I was too young to know the answers to them.

The game won't seem to run on Windows 10? Anyone else having any issues trying to install and run this game?

I tried running in "compatibility mode" for Windows 95, but I keep getting a pop up error window saying "this app can't run on your PC"

Not sure what's going on here...

I downloaded the zip, extracted, and can't do much else.

I don't have to download/install the stupid indiegala desktop app, do I??

Are they even that good? I'd actually wager those screenshots are EGA and not VGA.

I'm pretty sure these games use also use a text parser system. You have to be at least 40 to be familiar with how those work. Not easy for a modern audience to try to navigate, that's for sure.

I didn't have any issues running it, just had to rely on old school memory. These games don't run with the .exe right off the hop. I'm having fun with LSL2 - look for the "start.bat" file and try that, should work fine for you.
