If you haven't played yet, then give Thimbleweed Park a spin. Newer game from Ron Gilbert, the same guy from Maniac Mansion / Day of the Tentacle / Monkey Island, etc.
He recently released a mini-adventure game during Covid (free) called "Play Delores: A Thimbleweed Park Mini-Adventure

Sorry, I feel old. Is the only way to run this is by using 'run' file and going through the DOS box? I'm assuming this is the only way as the install application doesn't work because it's asking for the physical disc.

I believe so, but Al Lowe was never involved beyond LSL7, so I don't think it's the same experience/humour.

That's correct. Just double-click run.bat and it'll open the game using DOSBOX. You may need to right-click and run as administrator.

The first few times I tried it didn't work (probably Windows Defender) so I had to drop to the command prompt and start the game manually with "DOSBox.exe -conf "..\lsl7.conf" -c exit".
But after that now it opens just fine.

Enjoy!

Long live Sierra Games
God...I remember changing your autoexec.bat and config.sys files to include these commands just to run it...

Thanks for the link. I had completely forgotten about Codename Iceman. Watched a quick youtube vid on it. That was a blast from the past.
