This type of thing really depends on the health of the senior.

For what it's worth, the Xterra bikes have terrible reviews. A lot of defects within weeks and the supplier isn't responsive or pushes paid on site service when customers have issues. Read the Costco and Amazon customer reviews. I wouldn't be surprised if Costco stops selling them in the future.
