Intel - (12th gen CPU) - Video Editing issues

I have a Intel laptop (Dell 2in1 - 12th gen 1235U processor. 16gb RAM, 1tb nvme SSD).

Every time I edit and play a clip in Adobe Premiere Pro, the audio keeps stuttering. It usually fixes after couple of seconds. I keep the processor under powered usually (70%) because I hate it when the CPU fan comes on. but even with full power the audio issue is still there.

Fancy enough the Video is perfect! even 4k with effects and captions, never fails or drop frames. Its just the audio that never plays smooth until couple of seconds out. I had much less powerful CPU and audio is never a problem (its just phone video clips I am editing).

I made the audio latency 30ms and now after 2second it becomes fine but EVERYTIME , first two second doesn't play fine (audio only!).

Even when turbo boost on/off the issue persists.

I have the latest 23.1.0 build.

Is it something to do with e-core and p-cores?

Check your power settings in Control Panel/ Power Options/ Change plan settings/Change Advanced power settings and turn off all power saving settings.

USB Settings - Disabled
PCI Express/ Off
Processior power management - Maximum processor state - 100%

This could also be related to headphone software iCUE. If you have it, uninstall/reinstall.

I'll check with a client and add anything else as I know I'm missing something.

Change your audio settings:

Preferences/Audio hardware - set default input to "No Input"
Also, in the same window, Latency setting (increase latency to 400 or so)

There was new update out - that kinda fixed it. It only lags for 1sec now. Shouldn't latency be decreased?
