iPad disabled, Connec to itunes

So my toddler played around my Ipad Air and disabled the device, I tried to follow the instructions to unlock it and no success, any apple expert can help?

Below is what I did :

Put your iPad in recovery mode

This will allow you to bypass the passcode on your screen.

For iPads without a Home button:

Connect your iPad to your computer.
Press and hold the Top button and the volume up or down button until the power-off slider appears. Drag the slider to turn off your device.
Hold down the Top button until the recovery mode screen appears—you should see a black screen with an image of a cable connecting to a computer.

It did NOT go to recovery mode, the ipiad just restart and still ask to connect to itunes

Next

How to reset your iPad using iCloud

Go to iCloud.com and sign in with your Apple® ID and password.
Click on the Find [device] icon and select your iPad from the All Devices list.
Click Erase iPad, then click Erase again to confirm.
Once your iPad restarts, enter your Apple ID and password. If you have an iCloud backup saved, you'll have the option to select it. If not, proceed to set up your device as new.

Erased and remove my ipad from my icloud.

Restarted Ipaid, still saying connect to itune!

Please help.

The firmware may need to be restored. Connect to itunes and run a restore. You can also try to kick it out of recovery using one of the jailbreak tools

why not just plug it to a pc with itunes? it'll get all the files it needs to recover or reinstall iOS. basically it uses itunes to confirm the device and account before proceeding so that is a mandatory step Apple imposes in recovery or reset.

That is unless you plan on jailbreaking but that also comes with other types of risks.

I recommend taking it to the Apple store and let them try to fix it.

That screen means your iPad is in Recovery mode.

There are 3 options at this point you can do to fix it

1) use a jail-break tool to boot it out of recovery. Doesn't matter how old or for what ios the tool is. Booting out of recovery is a standard thing since the first iOS and doesnt jailbreak or modify the OS.

2) Connect to itunes. The computer should say it needs to be restored and ask to restore the OS

3) Boot into DFU mode and then restore firmware. This option is similar to #2 and the result is the same. This is what the video was telling you to do by holding the power+home button. But this is not necessary at all. iOS can be restored in recovery mode also.

Otherwise take it to an Apple store

That screen is kind of like the Startup Repair mode on Windows. Simplest option is to boot out of that mode, but it may not work if OS is corrupt. That is what the jailbreak tool cam try and do for you. Second option, reinstall OS

i sdecond taking it to the apple store as well, low risk high reward
As an aside, i plugged in my iphone 13 into the charger at night and screen wouldn't turn on in the morning. I read online that the firmware might be corrupted and to follow the following
press and release vol.up button
press and release vol. down button
immediately press and hold power button till apple logo shows up
the above sequence simulates pulling out the battery

worked like a charm

Need to put in recovery mode. Connect to computer with ITunes. Let the computer finish downloading the latest IOS for the pad. The iPad might be back to normal mode then put back to recovery mode to reinstall the IOS to factory. Too easy.

Recover like 10 times since I always forgot the password and seldom use iPad because kid banned from using iPad due to addiction and I have my own iPhone.

That is the reboot combo. As good as pressing the "reset" button on your PC Case.
