IPhone 6 or 6s

For my wife, needs a new cheap phone. Can get her a 6 with 64gb space or a 6s with 16gb space for the same price. She only uses about 8gb on board and everything else in iCloud.

Is it worth getting the 6s for the same price with less storage (assuming she likely doesn't need 64gb)?

Hard to tell if 6s is that much better (I'm an Android guy with an S8).

Thank you

6S is a lot better. Much better SoC, better camera (12mp vs 8mp) and second generation TouchID (much, much quicker).
Source: I use both a 6 and 6S on a daily basis.

+2 on 6S....double the ram, faster CPU...camera etc

Phone 6 - Apple A8 - CPU: Dual-core 1.4 GHz Cyclone; GPU: PowerVR GX6450, 1GB RAM
iPhone 6S - Apple A9, CPU: Dual-core 1.84 GHz Twister; GPU: PowerVR GT7600, 2GB RAM

But you should get a 6S 64GB - the OS takes up so much with apps etc - your 16GB storage will only have like half the storage (barely) free....

6s without a doubt. The 6 will have harder time with future iOS upgrades.

OK thanks for the opinions - I guess I am looking for a used 32gb or 64gb iPhone 6s then. I hate buying old technology but just can't justify spending what the iPhone 7 and 8 sell for. We have $50 unlimited 6gb plans from 2013 that we don't want to lose so getting a new phone/plan is not an option.

6s much better adaptability to iOS 11. Works faster much better reaction time. The 6 tends to slow down, higher battery drain with iOS 11.

6s, but 16GB of storage can be a hindrance as you won't have much storage for data such as photos.

6s 64GB if possible. Much better overall per everyone above but one of the biggest reasons is the 7000 series aluminum instead of 6000 in the 6. Remember bendgate? It was a real thing and that with touch disease should seal the deal. Would say the 6s should give you 2 years life over a 6 in the long term, even though it's only 1 year newer.

Brace yourself. Pricing with newer models will only continue to climb.

Like most say, the 6s is way better.

16 GB is a bit cramped though, even if she likes to use iCloud.

Thanks all. I ended up finding a 128gb 6s today for $400. Bit chipped up around the body but it will be covered in a case so no biggie. Seems like a deal around here, how about in southern Ontario?

You may also want to consider iPhoneSE. It was released after the 6s and is basically a 6s in an iPhone 5 frame. Base is 32GB. The TouchID button was not updated, but all of the internals were. A fair bit cheaper especially with the various deals out there.

Ooops - didn't notice that you already purchased - maybe this post can help others
