iPhone SMS forwarding to Android.

I'm looking for a way to automatically forward SMS received from an iPhone to an Android.

I have a 4GB data tablet plan from Fido that can't receive SMS. I use an Android smartphone with VoIP to cover for voice/SMS.

The VoIP number can't receive 2FA SMS keys, so I'd have them sent to my son's iPhone and then I'd receive the code because his phone forwards the SMS to my Android.

There's mysms and it seems to allow syncing between devices for only $10/year.

Are there are alternatives people can think of? I'm not necessarily trying to save money, but if mysms doesn't pan out once I test it, I'd like to fall back on those alternatives.

if you have a mac lying around and can keep on 24/7, you can take a look at air message

Thanks for the suggestion, but no I don't have an old mac. Also, this is to receive 2FA keys for my work VPN, so I might not be at home, near that mac, to receive the SMS.

Anyway, I'll try out this mysms app this weekend and see how it goes. Worst case scenario I buy a $10/month SMS only prepaid plan, put it in an old Android and have that forward me the SMS. Damn my son for wanting an iPhone instead of an Android :P
