Subbed for one year- from what I can tell, compared to other service providers, this gives a slightly more comprehensive package at this price point. Options to use VPN, DNS or a proxy so it's super flexible. In addition to setting this up through a router, you can selectively use whichever service best fits your needs for individual devices. I'm using DNS for my AppleTV, VPN on my iOS devices (simply because it's easy to set up and turn on/off) and have the option to either use full-on VPN or just an HTTP proxy/SOCKS5 for file-sharing on my desktop.

Must be on your end. I was getting speeds up to 10mb/s through uTorrent. Read through this thread for some suggestions already mentioned or contact their customer support.

Seemed that you are using http,is it secure? Why don't u use socks5 or choose https instead of http? Does ISP see what are you downloading if you use http?
IronSocket sent me this E-Mail when I was having issue with incoming connections using SOCKS - "Can you try Iceland HTTP Proxy using port 443 instead of Socks5? We were able to replicate the issue and seems we have problem on our Socks5." Maybe it works without any issue now but I am satisfied with the speed I am getting using HTTP. There's no difference from a security stand point between the two as neither offer any level of encryption. You'd have to run OPENVPN on one of the p2p configurations if you're that paranoid. A proxy does a sufficient job for torrents as it mask your IP from being revealed.

Wait...so you aren't connected with OpenVPN? Just using the proxy? No authentication needed?

you authorize your IP in your account settings on IronSocket's site to use the proxy, just like the DNS servers. And no, I am not using OPENVPN at the moment, although I have tried it and it works fine. As other users have mentioned in this thread, the proxy is good enough for downloading torrents but you could use both if you're that concerned.

edit: test it out here first to make sure your real IP isn't being revealed http://torguard.net/checkmytorrentipaddress.php
