Itrade. Sold a Canadian security last Wednesday. No buying power today. Thanks

Last Wednesday I sold an over the counter (otc) TSX stock last week at a great profit, with intent to buy a dip... however my Scotia Itrade account has not released the monetary gain into my buying power.

This is frustrating as it’s been 9 days now since trade date Jan 13, very close to closing bell.

Any advice red flag team? I scoured the net, best I can - and there are obfuscations and dead ends everywhere. I am a beginners some will laugh Smiling Face With Open Mouth And Tightly-closed Eyes.

But 9 days to get buying power on a positive sale.
Jeepers?!? Is it iTrade that sucks? Or is it the ‘otc’ aspect that is delaying me ... cheers

Do you have any pending orders? You could have created a limit "good till cancel" order a while ago, and it could stay in the system. If it's a cash account (i.e. not a margin one), a pending order might affect your buying power. Not sure about Itrade specifics.

Thanks for the feedback. I don’t believe I have any orders pending, and the sale was good ‘till end of day.’
However that’s an avenue to investigate. Thanks
