Apple has finally announced the move to Apple chips for Macs, and they are releasing a Mac mini dev kit with A12Z with 16 GB RAM and 512 GB storage.
They will do dynamic translation for Intel apps, using Rosetta 2 in macOS Big Sur.
They are also introducing Universal 2 fat binaries that will be natively compatible with both Intel and ARM.
Native support of macOS on ARM is already running in the lab on apps like Microsoft Office, Adobe Photoshop, Logic Pro, and Final Cut.
