Hey I just noticed the complete series for Buffy the vampire slayer is on sale in the iTunes Store for $14.99. Not HD but still works out to about $2 a season which is pretty cheap ;-)

I have a question about this because I'm a non-iTunes kinda guy...
Do I need an apple product to watch this?
I have an iPhone but I would never watch it on it's tiny screen
I don't have a Mac...just a PC
Do I need Apple TV which I don't have ?

Thanks for any info...

Yeah, not anymore. Buffy and Angel were on Netflix Canada a few years ago.

Same here, Google is nearly constantly beat by Apple on these deals it feels like. Frustrating

I got the entire series of Angle on DVD a decade ago at Walmart for $14.99, on a boxing day sale. Well worth it, as it is one of those series I will re-watch every few years. For Buffy the Vampire Slayer, I went 50% on on a sales to share the series with my brother inlaw. I watched it once and ever since then he has had the discs. I haven't really been tempted to watch it again. But yeah, if this was in the google play store for that price I would get it. Itunes seems fairly useless, as I don't have good way to stream that.

You can use iTunes for Windows to buy or rent and stream it with the AppleTV+ app on any compatible device like an Amazon Fire TV stick. If your TV has AirPlay you can use your iPhone to stream.

The series was filmed in 16:9 HD from the 4th season on, but I remember reading that Joss Whedon had an issue with it. He insisted that the series as filmed was always composed for 4:3 screen aspect ratio, and sometimes the 16:9 version wasn't right. But I think he was referring mainly to Season 4, where they had some initial issues with things like crew being caught on-screen at the edge of the picture, and one joke he recalled being ruined by wide screen shot where a sign was supposed to be revealed only when the camera panned over to it. The DVD release in the U.S./Canada got the 4:3 version, while the UK release got the 16:9 version from Season 4 on. Netflix got the 16:9 version, including some adaptation of Seasons 1-3 to 16:9 format. But it's no longer available on Netflix Canada.

Great Series! Back in the day I pre-ordered the DVD's for 10x the price but still think it was worth it.

Does anyone know if I can download purchased content for offline viewing from iTunes onto my desktop PC? I remember not jumping on the Google Play deal because it wasn't possible to do this in Google Play.
