Not really much you can do, you should've spent more had you known you'll have a refund (but that's hindsight)Mr Bean wrote: ↑I have AMEX Biz Gold. I completed $5K, points posted, I took stmt credit.
Unfortunately, one of the purchases came back as a refund after 3 months were over, the points clawed back. I have since completed the gap with separate charges, this is obviously outside the 3 months. But the balance still shows -ve.
Should I wait or call AMEX to see if anything can be done?
Hopefully the -ve balance isn't too much and usually AMEX won't care much when you close the card in future
If it's 60K~75K WB -ve balance, then I really have no idea
I don't believe it's really "Once per lifetime in Canada" but what do I know, I've been Amexiled since 2020, harevnant wrote: ↑ I wanted to apply for some AMEX cards (for example, Gold and Marriott Bonvoy and maybe eventually a Platinum), but given the once per lifetime welcome bonuses, I was wondering what time / which month(s) of the year they might put out the best offers? I don't think I could necessarily get t;he great welcome bonus deals from previous years...
but I'd guess 2~5 year gap is really okay, the longer the better
and in that meantime, one should be "rotate" through the card line up and not repeat previous card
Bonvoy family - AMEX MR family (Personal, Businss) - Aeroplan family and so on
