Job market after graduating in CS PhD from U of Waterloo

Hello.

I'm an international student and want to apply for PhD CS to U of Waterloo. And i'm plan to stay in Canada.

How is the job market for a PhD graduate from Waterloo?

Do you suggest applying for second master degree?

Regards,

If you graduate from the program, your best best is the States or finding a job at a University.

But I have some problems with USA.
The visa is single-entry. So i wont be able to see my family for 5-6 years.

I want to join a company for the job, not university. Still no chances in CA?

First question, what do you want to do?

Do you want to be a professor? Do you just want to be a software developer? Someone already mentioned trying to get into the states. I concur. Waay more opportunities.

Generally speaking, people only pursue a Phd in CS if they want to enter academia (publications, tenure, grants, etc). If you are looking for a regular software development job, a Phd is unlikely to help you and will probably harm you. Waterloo is a great school for CS though due to all the connections with top tier companies. I don't want to ramble, so I'll let you answer the bolded first before mentioning more.
