Karcher Electric Pressure Washer

Bought the Karcher Electric Pressure Washer from Costco when it was on sale back in Oct 2018. Have been storing inside the insulated garage, used it the second time only a couple weeks ago. Its spray gun started leaking already, and it keeps spraying water even without pressuring the power button. Is it normal for this brand ?

I wonder if I can still return/exchange it at Costco, don't see this brand on Costco.ca anymore though.

Contacted Karcher and they said the accessories warranty expired after 90 days of purchase....

Return it to Costco. They won't give you a hard time. Tell them it is a POS... which is the truth.

Karcher pressure washers are complete trash and no one should buy them.

Don't exchange the whole pressure washer because the spray gun leaks. That's an abuse of Costco's return policy. Start with a new spray tip. They are serviceable, user-replaceable, consumable parts. https://www.amazon.ca/Tool-Daily-Pressu ... 3922&psc=1 If that doesn't help, get a new spray gun.

The leak is not from the spray tip. It leaks heavily from the gun trigger. Like I said, it has only been used twice, not sure why it just leaks there all the sudden,

Costco will take it I believe.
I think you stored it with water pressure in and in the winter it expanded and made a crack.

If they don't accept your return just change the wand and sprayer.

I remember people say about the water expansion issue. Thus, I didn't store in outdoor/in the shed but inside insulated garage. I thought it would be ok. Otherwise, I don't know where else I can store......

Karcher asked me to order the replacement spray gun. It is $47+tax and shipping....

I can't tell from your description, exactly where the leak is and if this applies.
I have a Karcher gas washer.
There are several O-rings at various connections points in the wand.
It is normal for these to require replacement, and you'll get leakage if they are bad.

If they are the same, they are a slightly uncommon size. (metric size)
Mine are 10mm (ID) x 2.0mm
There is a Karcher o-ring kit. Check Amazon.
Otherwise, if you can track down the size, or take a sample to an industrial supplier you can get a match.

Do you have a picture of your wand gun and connector.

I have had a Karcher for over 10 years, store in uninsulated garage never an issue.

Likely have to bite the bullet get a new wand.

Almost all of Karcher's electric power washer spay guns are basically interchangeable for the last 20 years - a few exceptions but not many. You can probably go on your local used website and look for a free broken Karcher power washer (there are always some) that leak from the body or has no pressure anymore and just use the gun from that.

I have a gun for a K1900 that I have never used. You can have it if you come and pick it up.

I upgraded mine right off the bat to an MTM gun.
