I have a BNIB first alert CO + CO2 wired combo unit if anyone would like to trade with this one. Wired costs more but apparently our second floor is the only one with wired design. I'm in Ancaster, ON. Please PM me. Thanks

I tried ordering free store pick up but my order got cancelled.

Tried the free shipping online and getting "Sorry there was an error" when completing the order.

Online is OOS. Check tomorrow. They may have stock again. YMMV

In for 2 for pick up at Nepean. Super curious to see if it'll be ionized or photoelectric. Seems like it's luck of the draw with different claims depending if you read the online description on HD, Kidde, back of packaging, and back of unit!

Battery is already installed with a pull tab (so cannot tell if it is a Duracell Ultra battery). If someone plans on opening theirs, please report back on the battery type.
Got mine yesterday in Scarborough, same expiry date 2031.
Inside is a 9V Duracell Alkaline battery (MN1604) same model Costco sells in a pack of 8 pcs.

Paulie1RFD wrote: Just bought 3 but what a joke at HD Belleville. I could not find the product. Asked an associate for help. They couldn't find them either. Go to check computer, then comes back and says they just got delivered on big shipment. They would be available tomorrow.

I just kept looking through large section and sure enough not only was the item in the wrong spot on the shelf, they had boxes of them on higher shelf! Very bad HD.

Anyway, I have 3 of them that will be installed this weekend.
Same thing happened to me at HD Beaubien (Montreal) except I couldn't find them anywhere. Website shows 60 in stock. Sales clerk could also not find them and suggested I buy them on line. She also looked on top but no dice. I suspect that maybe they are in a section on their own somewhere. Anyway I ordered 2 online a few days ago for pickup and another one with free shipping today. When I pick them up I will look around the store to see where they are for curiosity.

Thanks OP, ordered. Do fire alarms expire if you don’t take them out of the packaging?

Fire Alarms are generally considered good up to 10 years from the manufacturing date, so yes.
